Please join IFFP on Feb. 10th for a fascinating and meaningful discussion on “Information Technology, Social Connection, and the Human Spirit,” led by Dr. Robert (Bob) Gold, University of Maryland, School of Public Health.  Dr. Gold was the founding Dean of the School of Public Health, at the University of Maryland College Park. He currently serves as University of Maryland Professor with appointments in: Department of Behavioral and Community Health, School of Public Health, UMCP; Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (Primary), and Department of Medicine (Secondary), School of Medicine, University of Maryland, Baltimore. With his 50 years’ experience in public health, Dr. Gold is nationally recognized as an expert in the application of advanced communications technologies to health education, ranging from interactive video and computer software, to knowledge management, decision support, and expert systems technology.

In addition, Dr. Gold has extensive training and experience in health-related research and evaluation for which he has received national awards. He has served in both public and private sector positions and has been responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating local through international programs. Dr. Gold also serves on the Board of Directors of the Prince George’s County Hospital System and Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, Inc.
