Elias Gonzalez Gomez is an Interfaith activist and “conmovedor” (moving-with) living in Guadalajara, Mexico. He is a philosopher and writer focused on issues of mysticism, interfaith dialogue, spirituality, comparative religion and social movements. He is a member of the Grupo Interreligioso Alimentario, Secretary of the Interspiritual Fraternity, member of the North American Interfaith Network and collaborates with other organizations, such as the Universidad de la Tierra Oaxaca. He is a member of the Trascendencia y Sociedad academy at ITESO where he teaches the subject of Faith and Culture. He has a degree in Philosophy and Social Sciences from ITESO, specializing in Mysticism and Human Sciences from the Mysticism University in Avila, Spain, and a master’s degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Iberoamericana CDMX.
He has given several courses and workshops, as well as lectures and presentations in different parishes, universities, forums and countries. He has published some articles in national and international magazines and is the author of the book “Encuentro, Re-ligacion y Diálogo. Reflexiones hacia un diálogo inter-re-ligioso” (Meeting, Re-ligation and Dialogue. Reflections towards an inter-religious dialogue). Elias is a member of the Community of L’Arche Nonviolence and Spirituality.
